FLIS® Fashion Law Virtual Meeting: Advertising with Influencers

The objective of this meeting is to establish a conversation between lawyers, influencers and other professionals in the fashion industry to discuss the issue related to digital advertising and the involvement between brands, companies and influencers.

We will address the following points: 

  • Raise and resolve legal questions related to the regulation of digital advertising with influencers on social networks to promote or recommend a product, brand, good or service. Comment and discuss the new "Code of Conduct on the use of influencers in advertising", which came into force on January 1, 2021. This code is a joint effort by the associations AUTOCONTROL and the Spanish Association of Advertisers (AEA). This normative instrument, of voluntary adherence, regulates the management of advertising between influencers and brands that are adhered to these associations, as well as those companies and influencers that wish to adhere. 
  • Provide legal recommendations, or procedures on how to act, in case the parties involved (brand/company/fashion designer, influencer, final consumer of the product) wish to carry out any digital advertising. 
  • Check if there is any legislation in Europe and America regarding this issue. 
  • Questions from those attending the meeting.
